ASSAM e Marche Regional board, Regional Information system for traceability of local food products. The system can be accessed by all the regional Industry. All the traced lots are recorded on the same DBRMS and regional body is able to monitor the market flows of the food chains implemented. The system is ongoing and 4 chains are currently ongoing: bread & pasta, fresh milk, fresh fishes, olive oil and wine.

National Cattleman’s Association, Information system for traceability of Italian meat on national scale. The system manages the whole chain from stable to butcher shops. Each animals can be tracked & traced in each stage of the chain. Information gathered are uploaded on to the butcher’s cash counter by means of bar codes and printed on the consumer receipt. All the traced lots are recorded on the same DBRMS and the association is able to monitor the meat market flows. The system is ongoing and 500.000 cow units are currently in the data base.

 

 

SITRAS

Using RFID in the fresh fruit&vegetables packing chain. Pilot implementation is on a packing house based in Sardinia. RFIDs are used to manage the product supply stage: each box used in the greenhouses for the tomato picking up has a RFID tag reporting the farmer’s & greenhouse’s code which is automatically read at the packing house gates.
